The Yangtze River surges and the Anhui River rises. As an important node in the Yangtze River Economic Belt that connects the east and the west, Anhui is using ecology as the pen and innovation as the ink, painting a high-quality development picture of ecological and economic symbiosis, development and people's livelihood progress along the banks of the Yangtze River.
Once upon a time, as a traditional industrial base, some areas along the Yangtze River in Anhui faced severe challenges such as chemical encirclement, disorderly shorelines, and fluctuating water quality. In recent years, Anhui has fought a beautiful ecological restoration battle with the determination of a brave warrior to break his arm. The Xuejiawa in Ma'anshan has transformed from a "dirty and messy" dock gathering place to the current "city living room".
This is not just a simple environment repair, but also a reconstruction of development logic. Anhui deeply understands the dialectical relationship of 'green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as mountains of gold and silver', and closely integrates ecological restoration with industrial upgrading. By implementing graded control of the Yangtze River coastline and shutting down and relocating polluting enterprises, the valuable shoreline resources that have been vacated have not been idle, but have been transformed into ecological corridors and green industrial spaces. This transformation has made excellent environmental quality itself a scarce production factor, attracting more high-end talents and green capital to gather in Jianghuai. When finless porpoises chasing waves becomes the norm and abandoned mines are covered in green, Anhui has proven through practice that protecting the ecological environment is protecting productivity, and improving the ecological environment is developing productivity.
To break away from the traditional path of relying on resource consumption for development, Anhui seizes opportunities and leads industrial innovation with technological innovation. The construction of the Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center and the layout of future industries such as quantum information and fusion energy indicate that Anhui is accelerating its transition from traditional factor driven to innovation driven. At Chery Automobile's super factory, intelligent robots perform precise operations, and the pace of new energy vehicles being taken offline is getting faster and faster; In the Hefei quantum industry cluster, cutting-edge achievements such as the "Origin Wukong" quantum computer continue to emerge, and the quantum communication network covers tens of thousands of kilometers. The former "steel city" Ma'anshan has now nurtured emerging industries such as green food and intelligent equipment; Tongling Nonferrous Metals has achieved a resource utilization rate of over 99% through technological transformation, realizing the complete consumption and extraction of copper smelting waste residue. The flame of innovation is igniting the engine of Anhui's industrial upgrading.
The development experience of Anhui shows that each province and city in the Yangtze River Economic Belt can fully adapt to local conditions and develop with high quality. On the one hand, we should make good use of national strategies such as the integration of the Yangtze River Delta, find our own positioning, deeply embed ourselves in the industrial chain, and play a good role in synergy; On the other hand, relying on its own advantages, it is opening up new tracks in emerging and green industries such as new energy vehicles and artificial intelligence. The booming development of car companies such as Chery and NIO, as well as the technological breakthroughs of battery companies such as Guoxuan High tech, have built an internationally competitive industrial cluster in Anhui. The deep integration of science and technology innovation and industry has not only injected strong momentum into Anhui's economy, but also provided a replicable model for industrial upgrading in the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
